You've done a really good job xxxx |

| Am I right in thinking that there has been a large increase in the number of "guests" on the site today; They seem to have been outnumbering the online members at times. Do we know where they've clicked in from? Maybe some of them are Aisleyne's 1200+ myspace friends? Good news anyway.

well it seems fine on speed for me, but I'm on broadband. It seems nice and tidied up, but one thing that might be nice is maybe a post (maybe on the Home page) to explain what exactly is new. Being not very bright on the computer, I cant see anything new, just a much neater and tidier website.
The changes...
1. News feed section added to Ash Fans
2. Biography updated
3. New gallery section added (TV & Radio)
4. News updated
5. TV & Radio section added
6. More videos added
7. Options to search site, suggest content, email articles etc.
8. General site look and layout changed
We'll be adding more content soon. Also, we'll take into account everybody's comments and make any necessary changes. |

The Bliss mag plug could have contributed as well. |

My first impression - well having the menu on the side makes the page about 50% wider than my screen which means each time I go to a new page I've got to scroll across, so I don't like that .
sorry , don't mean to be a gripe but it is kind of annoying and I can't see the benefit of it .

The slideshow and music are cool too. Perhaps the best way to accomodate non-broadband users is to add an option in the Control Panel to turn flash on or off. Or have some kind of pop-up the first time to ask the user if they want to run the flash stuff and save the answer in a cookie?
Regards
Julian

| Hi guys - We don't need a skip intro button. That's only required to navigate beyond a flash introduction, when its all that's visible on page. On OA home page, you can simply click any button on main menu to navigate to another section If you want to stay on home page, then you can either mute the music, or stop the flash applet entirely by pressing either of the two buttons provided along bottom of applet. All the reminder of the flash applets around the site have been specially compressed. The byte size of the flash applet running the main menu is less than most fm's individual signatures; the total size of all four applets running the new gallery consoles is about same as some of the larger individual signatures in this forum. So none will particularly affect download speeds. |
