Aisleyne's in New York!

During her first visit to New York, Aisleyne will be catching up with her celebrity pals and visiting relatives. Sightseeing and (probably quite a lot of) shopping will round off a busy week for Ash.

During her stay, Aisleyne's going be hooking up with Pras Michel, the Grammy Award-winning, Haitian-born American rapper, actor, producer, and member of the superstar hip hop trio The Fugees.

Ash say's she's certain to remind Pras again "how Ghetto Supastar is so special to me". Pras' international hit single was adopted by Aisleyne's fans as her anthem during last years Big Brother 7 series, and was used to accompany her highlights on the Final Night. Pras has a new single and album “Experience” coming out shortly under the Sony/BMG label.

Ash will also be meeting a long known celebrity chum, who she describes as "a real gentleman, a sweetie".

Finally, for Aisleyne a trip to New York wouldn't be complete if she didn't catch up with her good pal, Ne-Yo. Ash says the R&B singer/songwriter is currently filming in the Big Apple with his crew. Aisleyne fans will remember reading the report of their night out at the Aura Club this April, when Ne-Yo was in London. (Photos from that evening are in the Gallery.)

Aisleyne will also be visiting relatives, "My cousin, who I haven't seen in 3 years since he got married out there. So basically, a reunion trip all round - old loves, old family, can't wait."

Asked if she had any anxieties about her first trip to New York, Aisleyne thought for a moment before replying, "Must try not to eat too many American size portions, as I have photo-shoots the week I return!"

Here at Officially Aisleyne, we're more concerned about her known love for bargain shopping. New York prices may be cheap, but excess baggage on the return trip could prove costly for Ash!
