Aisleyne's Book Launch Party07 May 2009
So the evening before publication day, Aisleyne hosted a star-studded launch party at Studio Valbonne, filled with her celeb pals, other friends and relatives, and lots of news and media people. OK! Magazine were among the sponsors of the event. Aisleyne had spent a lot of time (and money!) with her personal shopper at Selfridges and had finally settled on a Mediterranean blue bandage dress by Herve Leger. After all, this was to be an evening when Aisleyne was guaranteed photographic attention, even more than usual. The evening began with Aisleyne and her guests on the Red Carpet, and, of course, in front of a special media wall consisting of multiple images of the cover of her book, prominently displaying her name, face and title. Celebrities attending included Charlie Brooker, Nate James, DJ Ironik, Imogen Thomas and Jodie Marsh. One EXTRA special VIP attending was Aisleyne's Grandad. From 7pm there was Cocktail Reception 7 - 8 PM where some special "Aisleyne Cocktails" included Raspberry Vodka cocktail (sponsored by Grey Goose)and a Pear & ginger cocktail (sponsored by Suso) Canapes were provided, courtesy of Studio Valbonne consisting of mini Bagels, lamb kofte with raita sauce, wedges, crostini and samosas followed by a white chocolate fountain, with strawberries & marshmallows There was also a giant organic cake for 150-200 people - (courtesy of Yummy Cake Company) which was in the shape of the book and depicted the front cover on the top. Ash spent the first half hour giving interviews to the press and then, as one observer noted, "Aisleyne was a great host, making her way around the club chatting and mingling.
