But that's exactly what happened when she attended the exclusive Indesit VIP ‘Party Laundrette’ at The Dray Walk Gallery in Brick Lane on October 14th. This was the launch of a number of similar public events held over subsequent evenings. Apparently it's very much a trendy thing to do at the moment.

And she wasn't by any means the only celeb to "come out in the wash" that evening.

The event was hosted by Gabriella Cilmi, who in honour of the occasion turned out in a dress decorated with simulated soap bubbles, while special guest DJ Josephine de la Baume wore an "interesting" one-piece described by the Daily Mail as "longjohns" (!). The ever-eccentric Paloma Faith wore a large top-hat and was compared (again by the Mail) as a "Victorian funeral director"

By contrast Aisleyne opted for a more conservative, but still striking, look in her Little Black Dress (from Zara), with a pair of Vivienne Westwood shoes, and of course she still managed to draw her fair share of the media attention.

Other guests attending included Aisleyne's "boyz" Nate James and DJ Ironik, Konnie Huq (aka Mrs C Brooker!)and Zoe Salmon. Aisleyne also caught up with "Keith Lemon" (Leigh Francis), who she knows via his wife who is a hair/make-up person that Aisleyne has often worked with.

Aisleyne reported that there were some "amazing cocktails" on show, but she didn't sample too many of them or stay too late. She was home and in bed by midnight as she had a commitment early next day.
