Aisleyne - Movie Star!15 March 2011 Aisleyne has been on many a red carpet in her time, but the occasion on 15th March was really special, because this time Aisleyne was at the premiere of a film in which she actually appears. Yes, it was the long-awaited premiere of ANUVaHOOD, "the first UK urban comedy", in which Aisleyne plays the sexy "Maria". She joined other members of the cast to celebrate the event. These included the film's mastermind and star/director/co-writer Adam Deacon ("Kenneth/Kay"), Richie Campbell (badboy "Tyrone" with whom Maria does some VERY "saucy" stuff!) and Jocelyn Jee Esien (Tasha - who also has a "knockout" scene with Maria.) as well as Michael Vu, Linda Robson, Richard Blackwood and many more. It was certainly a celeb-packed occasion with a wide range of guests, plus a number of Aisleyne's celeb pals who went along to support their girl, including Bianca Gascoigne, Imogen Thomas and DJ Ironik. Now we know that Aisleyne has the knack of making High Street clothes look a million dollars. But for this special evening she "went designer" in a big way, in a sky-blue mid-length Versace dress, and Christian Louboutin shoes. Combined with shorter hair and less-is-more make-up she certainly turned heads and received lots of media approval. SkyLiving (formerly Sky Showbiz) said she was "demure" and "classy" and described her look in one picture as "a Marilyn Monroe moment" And Heat magazine showed that their photoshoot and favourable feature with Aisleyne in the previous week's issue wasn't a one-off when they complimented her "new cropped hair, soft make up and a lovely blue dress", concluding "Very nice Aisleyne." Aisleyne paid tribute to the vision and sheer hard work that Adam Deacon had put into make his dream a reality. She said "when I heard that huge audience all laughing together at what they were seeing on screen it proved it was all worthwhile", and added "Big up to Adam and ALL the cast and crew!" And speaking of memorable moments from the film, we DID hear a video interview with a small group who were praising the performance of Richie Campbell as badboy Tyrone, and who were particularly taken with one of Tyrone's scenes involving "someone's" feet and some ketchup - now who could that have been? For the after-party Aisleyne changed into more suitable (ie less expensive!) clothes, namely a short red knickerbocker suit from her own Unique By Aisleyne range. There is sufficient photographic evidence to show that on this occasion she lived up to her party-girl image. But after all, it's not every day you premiere your own movie is it?
