Big Brother in the News14 September 2018 The climax of Celebrity Big Brother on September 10th and the launch of the "civilian" edition on the 14th attracted even more than the usual news attention, and Aisleyne figured prominently in the media mix. Her Sun columns for both versions always mean her opinions and social media comments are influential, of course. But the Roxanne Pallett controversy and the announcement of the end of BB/CBB on Channel 5 led to even more coverage featuring Aisleyne. First she gave an "exclusive" to the Sun in which she said that the Roxanne incident was "the last nail in the coffin" for BB on Channel 5. Other papers, like Daily Mail and Metro, then reported her views. The BBC also sought her opinions, first on Radio One's Newsbeat (along with fellow legend Brian Belo), and then on TV on BBC News. Aisleyne confessed to being "devastated" at the news, described BB as a "national treasure" and believed that another channel would pick up the baton. See and hear what else she had to say in the Videos section of this site.
