| Aisleyne has made a contribution to the book 'Food for Heroes' in aid of the Help for Heroes charity. This book features recipes that celebrity and military contributors would serve up to their individual 'hero'. Tony Blair's is Mahatma Gandhi, for example.

The book is to be launched on June 26
Ash is believed to be the only reality TV star invited to take part.
So what recipe did Ash contribute? I'd go for jerk chicken, but what do I know?
Ash's chosen 'hero' is I'm told not a well known person.

| Wow! talk about A-list or what? Have you seen the names on that list?
(Only one of them dispenses with the need for a surname though )
Rice and peas?
Found this press release about it

| The book can now be ordered on the Amazon website.

If you look at the preview pages you will see on the index that Aisleyne (no surname necessary!) appears just above Alexander the Great and Ali, Muhammad!
I have already seen the book on the shelves at WH Smith, and I suspect it's going to get a lot of publicity. For example, it's going to be Waitrose's Book of the Month for July. |

| emptybox - 23/6/2009 22:37 So is Alexander the Great Aisleyne's Hero then?? No! Couldn't be more different, actually, a very personal but inspired choice IMHO. Her recipe is the first in the Vegetarian section, AND, of course, it has a certain "Caribbean-ness" |

| Aisleyne will be signing copies of "Food for Heroes" at the Armed Forces Day event at Potter's Field Park from 2-3pm this afternoon.
