Can't wait to read our members report (s ) on the event.
Well on the plus side Aisleyne looked gorgeous - loved the dress - and seemed to be having a great time.
On the downside I never did manage to pluck up the courage to say hello
For some reason I was under the impression that a PA involved the celebrity in question being introduced and addressing the patrons in some way. So I sat myself in the middle of the club at about 10.30 with what I thought would be a good view of Aisleyne wherever she might be based and waited for her to arrive to presumably cheers or boos or whatever.
The nightclub wasn't as intimidating as I thought it was going to be. No half-drunk yobbos or drug-pushers in the toilets. None of the music seemed to have lyrics but after a few hours I was starting to get into it.
One of the staff even came up and asked if I was alright or needed a partner, seeing as how I hadn't really moved from the spot since I got there, which I thought was quite considerate really
By about 2am, I gave up waiting and decided to have a wander around. At which point I noticed that Aisleyne was actually already there and dancing behind a roped off area. She'd probably been there for hours
Being rather chronically shy in such situations I spent the next hour watching from a distance and trying to psych myself up to speak to her. I'm sure I must have looked like some kind of creepy stalker
The fact that the music was too loud for me to be sure she would even hear anything if I did say hello wasn't helping things and I was already part deaf by then anyway. I think at one point she waved at me but it might have been someone behind me
I tried taking some pictures but my phone couldn't cope with the poor lighting conditions so all in all the evening didn't go exactly as I was anticipating
She left about 3am and I left shortly afterwards rather annoyed at myself.
I do feel I let you guys down a bit but at least I got to see Aisleyne up close. She really is lovely
Regards

Thanks for the amusing account of your evening Julian. I would have expected a formal introduction too. I usually feel a bit like a fish out of water on the odd occasions when I go down town at night. I hope that seeing Aisleyne in person was worth the sacrifice. |

Seeing Aisleyne is, of course, worth any sacrifice
Besides, it's always good to experience new things even if it did mean I only got 5 hours sleep last night (had to go to work this morning )
