Aisleyne appears on p9 of today's Islington Gazette (her local paper). Here's the article on their website...

They use a picture from last year's Screen Nation Awards on the website. Anybody seen the actual paper?

Thanks for that. Very interesting article, especially the "local" detail.

Do celebdaq include the Islington Gazette.

They should, it's an internationally renowned publication.

Do I detect the effects of Mr Life Bitch in this interview? Maybe I'm reading too much into what may be the journalists own interpretation, but to me the "celeb impact" thing is played down rather, and it's Aisleyne's "journey", her personal drive and her media ambitions that are emphasised.

Possibly.

So is printing that she's one year older than her actual age also part of his strategy?

It's a nice little interview.
I didn't know she'd studied media?

She mentioned that on her first radio show...

As a fully paid-up Grumpy Old Man I am now obliged to make some crack about when I was a lad watching telly and reading magazines was called "avoiding homework", and now it's called "media studies"

I've just noticed that they have an electronic edition of the paper on the site. They haven't got the latest issue online yet, but it might be worth checking out later (you save issues as PDF files)...

Not worth a new thread, but an (almost) identical article is in the Camden Gazette.

I say "almost" because the final paragraph extolliing the virtues of Islington is curiously absent from this version.

This is now available to download. They use a nice big picture from the MOBOs to accompany the article in the paper.
