| The official ANUVaHOOD website is now being brought up to full speed ready for the publicity drive for the film's release in March.
The Meet the Cast section gives us some hints on the characters and their relationships, including "Maria" (Aisleyne).
Each picture has an accompanying catchphrase and a few teaser comments.
Guess what Maria's catchphrase is. AND I also have an awful feeling that Maria MIGHT be ..... a manteef!
What do you reckon?

| The Anuvahood Facebook page has also added "Maria" to its Wall photos http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=176797825697492&set=a.139772262733382.23149.115539648489977&theater&pid=399076&id=115539648489977 |

| The abovementioned poster, featuring Aisleyne as "Maria" (wih tagline!) has been added to the homepage. |

|
| Flavour magazine have posted a behind-the-scenes video of some the Anuvahood cast, including Aisleyne, doing some freestyle rappin' (with varying success? ) and generally having a good time during the recent photoshoot.

| In this video interview with Flavour mag Editor Annika Allen, Jocelyn Jee Essien talks about her role as "Tasha", and in the process gives us some intriguing hints about her "interaction" with "Maria" (Aisleyne) - eg it involved some "stunt training".

Annika comments that this was one of her favourite scenes in the film. |

Don't worry. I'm sure she doesn't hit Aisleyne for real. |

| Another interesting video interview by Flavour's Annika, this time with Richie Campbell ("Tyrone" ).
He talks about his role, and Annika again picks out the scene between him, Jocelyn and Aisleyne as one of her favourites from the film, and Richie gives us some more information about it. It certainly sounds like it's one of the highlights of the movie.

| So, have you downloaded the Anuvahood app yet?
The people behind the film are creating quite a stir with their innovative use of social media to promote "Anuvahood" to their youthful target audience**.
** which clearly doesn't include me as I am neither youthful , nor do I have an iPhone, BB or Android
According to the trade press:
U.K. indie distributor Revolver is pushing traditional boundaries for its rollout of "Anuvahood," a British urban comedy movie, by launching its own cellphone app across the three main platforms, iPhone, Android and Blackberry.
The app has five sections, two of which (Trailer and Twitter) have already been seen (the trailer now clocking 300,000 views!). The other three sections include a Quiz (How Gangsta r u?'), Cinemas (to locate where the film will be showing) and Soundz. The last consists of sound bites from the film by 10 of the leading characters - including three quotes from "Maria" .
Get your app from the official Anuvahood website here - click where Tyrone says "Get the app!":

Location: Scottish Borders | I downloaded it to my BlackBerry.
Be aware, it is a 5.8 MB download, so make sure there's enough free space on your phones internal memory, and also that means it takes a while to download if you haven't got a 3G signal.
It's almost worthwhile for Maria's first quote though. I may have played that one more than once. |

Yep, it is indeed a hype hype ting. |

| The latest edition of Rewind magazine devotes a good few pages to Anuvahood. There are interviews with Adam Deacon and Ollie Barbieri, plus a number of pics of other members of the cast including what is now a familiar pic of Aisleyne as Maria.
I was especially intrigued to learn that Tyrone's activities include "doing all sorts of nastiness with the estate's bicycle, played by Aisleyne"

| According to this website, Jocelyn Jee Essien and Richard Blackwood will be guests on ITV's This Morning on 10th March, talking about Anuvahood.

Wonder what clips they might show? |

| This Tuesday 1st March, starting late morning, Aisleyne will be joining other cast members to film the music video for the Anuvahood theme song, recorded by JME Boy Better Know & Adam Deacon. |

| A somewhat lukewarm review of Anuvahood on the Empire magazine website , but it DOES conclude with the following interesting recommendation :
Look out for turns from Jaime Winstone, Skins’ Ollie Barbieri and Paul Kaye — and Aisleyne from Big Brother.

This Tuesday 1st March, starting late morning, Aisleyne will be joining other cast members to film the music video for the Anuvahood theme song, recorded by JME Boy Better Know & Adam Deacon.
This video can now be viewed on Youtube:
You have to wait till about 1.40 to see Aisleyne, but it's certainly WELL worth waiting for.
What a sauce! - or should that be what's the sauce?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbFSytMfCSM
ETA: To answer my own question, it surely must be the sauce created by "anuva" member of the cast - Mr Levi Roots!

Location: Scottish Borders | They might at least have allowed him to spread his own sauce?
BTW, I see the video has now been added to our Home page. And also to the video section of the site http://www.aisleyne.com/videos/videos.asp |

|
|
| I wonder if sales of Reggae-Reggae Sauce will rise (along with sales of badman's sweet Fruit-tellas), now that such an innovative application for its use has been so effectively demonstrated.
BTW The young boy with the white T shirt and baseball cap dancing in the video is Jimmy Quinn, Aisleyne's godson. |

| Good to see she's moved on from dashing water in people's faces. I hope this film appearance is the first of many. |
