Ais confirmed on her radio show tonight that she is still doing this, though she'll probably have to walk the course with her broken hand. Respect to you babe, you're a heroine.

She's a member of Lisa's team, so donate here:

We already had a thread about this in General Aisleyne chat...

http://www.aisleyne.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=671&posts=...

...but it's about time it was moved to news.

Just bumping this up, as Aisleyne has mentioned this a lot during tonight's bingo chats and encouraged people to come here for the sponsor details.

Thanks Sophie.

I'd no idea Ash had her own page for this?
I thought all donations went to Lisa's page?

Yeah so did i.
I think we should all try and sponser Ash, let her know that even though we're not doing the run, we're supporting her all the way.

I have a confession. I have yet to give to any of these charities. Call me a doddery old sod or a right thicko, but I have a bit of a problem with this method of payment. I would have given to all of the Aisleyne charity causes. I felt really bad for not supporting Sophie's walk. It wasn't that I didn't want to give. I can't get round the idea of my bank details being passed to different people, not that I've got that much to lose. If there was any other way of getting the money to it's destination, I'd do it, even if it meant taking it myself. One day, I will move into the 21st century.

The way I look at it is, whenever you give someone a cheque you're handing them a bit of paper with your name, bank account number, sort code and signature all handily written down for them to make use of.

Paying by credit card to a secure internet site is actually a lot more safe IMO.

Also Justgiving use the Securecode system (might not be the right name) where before the transaction is authorised, the card company give you a codeword so you know it is a genuine site, and you then enter a password to OK the payment.

I've just sponsored Aisleyne. C'mon everybody dig deep and lets get the total into 3 figures.

Maybe a link to the donations page from the home page of the site might help?

OA has now added a News item about Aisleyne's charity run...

http://www.aisleyne.com/minifullnews.asp?dismode=article&artid=104

He'll keep it on the home page until July 1st.

I've also merged all the three threads on the charity run (mine, odm's and malmo58's) into one, so that all the info is together on this thread.
