Aisleyne has happily agreed to give her support to this year's National No Smoking Day on Wednsday 12th March. The Campaign is arranging for Aisleyne to give or film interviews in the run-up, and will be issuing the following quotation:

"Millions of people may have watched me smoke my first ever cigarette live on Big Brother, but what no-one saw was my struggle to quit after the cameras stopped rolling.

I know quitting smoking can be tough, but with over a million people giving up on No Smoking Day, you're in good company.

Getting the support of your family and friends can really help, so I got them to sponsor my efforts. Knowing I was helping a charity helped whenever I felt tempted.

I'd urge everyone thinking about quitting to do the same. Sign up for The Great No Smoking Day Challenge online and you can help others whilst you're helping yourself.

With all the help and support that's out there, there's never been a better time to quit. So if you're ready, take The Great No Smoking Day Challenge and kick the habit once and for all! "

BrandRepublic have an article about the campaign, though I don't like their terminology.

Well done to Aisleyne for supporting such a good cause and good luck in keeping off the ciggies.

Aisleyne Limited has the full length version of the interview that Aisleyne gave last week about her attempts to quit smoking. The shortened version on the Daily Goss site last 4 mins 25 secs; the complete interview lasts 6 mins 43 secs.

We have made the full length version available to Red TV, and will also add to the OA site when the shortened version ceases to be on the home page of the Daily Goss - it is currently still the most popular article on that site.

Aisleyne and the Red TV crew will be attending the special after party on Wednesday evening, helping to celebrate the 25th anniversary of No Smoking Day. As this is a by invitation only party, we've been asked not to publicise the location too far ahead.

Amongst a host of other things, today Aisleyne is now going to have a ride on not one, but two buses, will be going back to college, shopping, popping into what will hopefully be an office party as well as meeting a representative of a football club, one of whose occasional nicknames is the same as the title of a TV programme that she's recorded.  After all that, Aisleyne must still have enough energy to attend the afterparty celebrating 25 years of No Smoking Day before hopefully joining in an evening conference phone call to someone currently overseas on UbA related business.

Busy day,eh? Bit of a windy one for open-top buses too

Regarding that cryptic clue, is the "representative" or the football club with the "occasional nickname" ?

Well I have a few nicknames for London football clubs but as it's a family forum I will keep them to myself.

A-ha, so Ash meets a rep of AFC Wimbledon having recently recorded her part as Madame Cholet in the TV revival of The Wombles.....or perhaps not LOL

Glad to hear she's so busy today - in aid of a good cause

A very busy day.

Let's hope the weather in London is more clement, cos it's howling winds and rain here.

I know nowt about football, so I can't even hazzard a guess at the clue.
I know Arsenal gets called "The Gunners" (or is it gooners nowadays ) but that exhausts my knowledge.

Well, Aisleyne has described herself as a gooner, and she is due to appear at the Emirates sometime today, but somehow I don't think that she's likely to be appearing in an ITV revival of the Goon Show...

Good to see Ash is busy, lots to cram into her TV show. I guess no 2 shows will be the same.

So was it a regular double decker, bendy bus etc....after all.

Should be interesting.

This is good for Aisleyne, it's like a live showcase.

Today's events are now over. Itinery for filming included University of Westminster in Regent Street where, among other things, Aisleyne did a lung function test. Next stop was in Camden High Street where Aisleyne met the volunteers based in a bus who were encouraging people to give up smoking, and interviewed passers-by. From there Aisleyne moved onto Islington where she joined in the activities based around an open top bus. Apart from having her photo taken with plenty of people, signing autoographs, and generally getting involved in the fun, Aisleyne had a relaxing neck and back massage, and watched as ageing generation software produced comparison photos of Aisleyne as a smoking and non-smoking pensioner.

From Islington it was on to the offices of the No Smoking Day organising team where she met and interviewed everyone involved, learnt the extent of today's activities around the country and saw the results achieved. The final stop was the Emirates stadium, where Aisleyne reboarded the open top bus to watch the 25th anniversary celebrations, including a mass balloon release in the company of the local lord mayor and other dignatories. Unfortunately the revised timing of an Aisleyne Ltd business meeting prevented the directors attending the afterparty as planned.

Er, did someone mention an "open-top bus", "Islington" and "the Emirates" ? Where do I pick up my (chocolate!) cigar then?

And will the "computer-generated comparison photos" be appearing in the gallery?
