| Aisleyne will be attending Glastonbury as a VIP Guest this year. She will be with her friend, the journalist Charlie Brooker. In February, Aisleyne appeared in the final programme of Charlie Brooker's Screen Wipe series on BBC4. Aisleyne is planning to be at Glastonbury for the duration of the festival. |

| I have always wanted to go to Glastonbury and for some reason it has always eluded me...but its food for thought now that I have heard it mentioned a few times already....Maybe I might just think about it....anyway...I have my reasons...lol...
Purely out of interest, will there be any dates for that?

Thanks. So will Charlie Brooker be covering the event for BBC4 or the Guardian?

Yep! You're REALLY gonna need 'em, Aisleyne!

| As Aisleyne's going as a VIP Guest, understand that there is separate backstage accommodation etc provided. A girl needs a clean, warm and dry place where she can frequently change her clothes and touch up her war paint. Believe there are helicopter landing facilities for VIP's, if Ash decides to arrive in style. However, if Aisleyne tells me that she's busy packing her tent and polishing her hiking boots, I'll be sure to pass on that info. |

|
| PLUS, as we saw on Screenwipe, Charlie B isn't averse to giving Aisleyne a piggy-back in the great outdoors! |

| As I didn't know, the answer, I asked (though still really none the wiser!): "Erm, not sure, the tickets are BBC hospitality but Charlie is going to write about it all for The Guardian, so its slightly confusing!! All will be clear Monday..." |

| Aisleyne has indicated that she'll try to borrow Charlie's laptop to give us an update from Glastonbury. Otherwise, she's intending to come online with all the gossip next Monday. |

Now why does that conjure up a picture in my mind of Aisleyne typing away in a muddy field while sitting on Charlie Brooker's lap! |

So she'll talk Beth Ditto and company into joining this site? Impressive!

| I'm intrigued as to the public/private mix of this visit to Glastonbury by Aisleyne. Well done to her for getting a VIP Guest invite from the BBC via her mate Charlie B., and I'm sure she'll be having a great time seeing the acts, partying etc etc. I take it though that the fact there's a fair amount of news and comment about it on this site means that there is quite a strong "public" (ie publicity) component to it all as well.
If nothing else, it would seem to be a fantastic networking opportunity, with a high "see-and-be-seen-factor" (hopefully including some TV/radio/press appearances). Will BP be around to get some "entirely spontaneous" photo-opportunities? |

Good luck with that! The BBC alone have three channels covering it, four radio stations, the BBCi coverage, and the Internet coverage.
