They've picked it up from p29 of today's Daily Star.

So veracity or accuracy yet to be established, I guess.

When they say 'thrown' in I hope they don't mean it literally

Looks like press talk at present. Story was 'broken' by the Star which isn't usually the most accurate of organs, BB-wise.
