Great news - Dead Set's been nominated for a BAFTA in the Best Drama Serial category. Well done to all involved for this accolade. Its up against Criminal Justice (BBC1 ), The Devil's wh*** (C4 ) & House of Saddam (BBC2 )

Sadly, Dead Set didn't win, but at least the nominations clip they showed did feature "Nakita" from Aisleyne's fashion range.

Congrats anyway to Charlie and Co for being nominated. |

I was thinking about the impact of Dead Set and other parodies of Big Brother on viewers. Has it made people more cynical of Big Brother? It certainly made a mockery of the stereotypical wannabee housemate of recent years. And will you ever see eviction night in the same way again? I recall seeing a clip of Aisleyne in the BBLB studio and being concerned for her safety. It seemed so wrong seeing the housemates on Dead Set going into the camera runs and even leaving the complex, but I understand that it's happened in BB10 too. They've even had zombies in the house. You would think Charlie had wrote the script for BB10. |

It's getting to be a Hallowe'en TV tradition, innit, like they always show The Sound of Music at Christmas. |

As an old traditionalist, I welcome the repeat of Dead Set for those who haven't seen it and wish to be scared on Halloween. |

A quote from Charlie Brooker on Twitter:
"Good morning Australians. Please watch Dead Set tonight on SBS One at 10pm. Don't make me come down there and make you."

| Wikipedia has a page on Dead Set, which gives a day by day guide to the action and mentions Aisleyne's brief encounter with Space.
