Aisleyne To Be Ambassador For Club4Climate

13 October 2007

TV star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has accepted a request from Club 4 Climate to be the official ambassador for the climate change fund and awareness raising project – Club 4 Climate.

Aisleyne comments “I am so excited to be working with Club4Climate. In this day and age we all need to do our share in preserving our planet, not just for future generations, but for our own generation. Global warming isn't something in the future, that can be dealt with at a later date; it's happening now, it's our reality and we all need to do as much as we can to help slow it down before its too late."

Club 4 Climate is a series of monthly high profile parties in London’s West End developed to allow clubbers and celebrities to make a small difference to our climate by simply attending a party.  Inside each event will be direct and indirect information to help people in attendance learn more about simple changes they can make to their own lifestyles.  Celebrities can sign a Climate Change Pledge where they pledge to fly less, turn their thermostat down by 1 degree or even opt to a major energy supplier’s green energy service at no extra cost – There are many other pledge options to choose from.

From each £20 ticket sold at least 10% will go to Pure The Clean Planet Trust, Registered Charity No. 1112249, and will be used to buy solar panels for UK schools and carbon credits for developing countries like China therefore directly benefiting the climate.  Club 4 Climate aims to raise £100k by July 2008 for Pure The Clean Planet Trust.

Club 4 Climate encourages the help and support from the media to help deliver the important climate change messages on a regular basis.  This month Club 4 Climate is asking people to opt to an energy supplier’s green energy service at no extra cost which means the energy consumed will have come from wind power, a clean form of energy.  As we made Aisleyne aware this green energy service existed she immediately contacted her energy supplier and now consumes NPower Juice, NPower’s green energy, and was surprised when they told her it doesn’t cost a penny more than conventional fossil fuel power.

In addition to the parties Club 4 Climate is working with a national manufacturer and wholesaler to develop a range of silver club wear jewellery to be sold nationwide.  These products will be launched in Spring 2008 in a Central London department store and will help raise awareness for climate change and help the project raise more money to help beat its £100k target by July 2008.

Everyone can make a small difference to the way they live. Fighting global warming does not have to be costly, time consuming or boring.  Club 4 Climate – Make A Difference On The Dance Floor!

Aisleyne is available for interview and photo opportunities to discuss and promote her new role as ambassador for Club 4 Climate and her feelings and advice on global warming and how people can make their own small carbon cutting changes to their lifestyles.
