Well no, actually, but she did SEEM to do so when she appeared on Channel 4's Kevin Bishop Show on Friday August 8th. In keeping with the show's quick fire format, which gives the impression that someone is flicking channels, we saw the BB9 "shattered eye" symbol appear followed by a "Diary Room" and a Marcus Bentley-type voice announcing that " Big Brother has asked a housemate to come into the Diary Room". Cue Aisleyne, wearing shorts and the top she wore on her traumatic return from the House Next Door during BB7. "Hello Aisleyne", says a voice. "Hi Big Brother," says Ash with a friendly double hand wave. "Aisleyne," says the voice, "you do realise that you aren't actually in this series of Big Brother, don't you" Ash's expression changes from smiling to confusion, and she rises to her feet saying "Oh, I'll just go then...." Continuity announcer says "Big Brother showing all this week on the Déjà Vu Channel" . End of sketch. However, as it was "the Déjà Vu Channel" they did show a bit of it again! It occurred to us that given the speed of the sketch, for the joke to work at all, it needed an ex-housemate whose face and name would be instantly recognisable to the audience. We can think of nobody better qualified on that score than Aisleyne, and so it seems did the program makers! The contentious question now is - who does the best imitation of Marcus Bentley saying "Ashleeeen", Kevin Bishop or Charley Brooker....?
