Radox Smoothie Awards

A host of celebs had gathered to see who would be crowned Radox’s "smoothest male" and "fruitiest female". Surprisingly (to us anyway), Aisleyne had not been nominated (shame!) and was just attending as a guest, but as is so often the case, it turned out that she moved to centre stage in the media coverage of the event.

Why? Well, event co-host Tara Palmer Tomkinson was wearing a dress from Topshop with a red and white striped top and red skirt. Aisleyne arrived wearing a dress from Topshop with a red and white striped top ... and .... - Can you see where this is heading? Yes indeed, the Friend of Royalty and our own "Queen of Bling" were in identical dresses, which no amount of difference in their accessorising could disguise (even though TPT kept her jacket on all evening).

Aisleyne later posted on her website forum that it was her friend (and TPT's co-host) Duncan James who had tipped her off about the co-incidence, and we understand that the two ladies concerned both politely declined to be photographed together!

Unsurprisingly, the incident gave rise to a rash of media comment, and a fair number of "who wore it best?" features on various magazine websites. All of which publicity was doubtless good news for event sponsors Radox, and perhaps even more so for Topshop (who got THEIR publicity free!).

It DID, however, rather tend to upstage the actual WINNERS of the awards, so we'd better mention that Smoothest Male was Jeremy Edwards, and Fruitiest Female was none other than Aisleyne's makeunder host from "Snog Marry Avoid?" Jenny Frost.
