Singapore Grand Prix26 September 2010 As soon as she had wrapped her final scenes for ANUVaHOOD at around 7.30pm on Saturday 25th September, she leapt into a car for Heathrow to catch her Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore. As time was going to be tight Aisleyne had to do her hair and make-up on the plane. Her hair was 'up' as during the previous few days the Singapore weather had been heavy rain, hot and very high humidity. In the event it didn't rain at all during the the time Aisleyne was there. She also only took cabin baggage to save time. This meant of course that packing had been a rather traumatic experience with many sacrifices! After a twelve hour flight she was met by her car at Changi airport with barely a couple of hours spare to whisk her off to her hotel room to get changed and then dash to her box in the grandstand with its spectacular view over the starting grid, where she arrived just before the big start. She thoroughly enjoyed all the sights and sounds of the event, and she managed to convey her excitement with a number of tweets during the race. She was disappointed when Lewis Hamilton's race was brought to a premature end by a shunt. Aisleyne's ambitions as a sports photographer also suffered a blow when her attempt at an action shot yielded only a picture of an empty track (or "pavement" as she chose to call it!)! She had better luck when she captured a picture of Heikki Kovalainen's Lotus after it had caught fire on the last lap and come to a stop just across the track from her position. Unfortunately, the Lotus team colour scheme led Aisleyne (she blamed her companion Becky) to an erroneous conclusion - her Twitpic caption for the conflagration was "Jamaican team up in smoke! Too much hot pepper sauce.....". Perhaps it was viewing "Cool Runnings" too many times that led them astray. The chequered flag and presentation ceremonies were by no means the end of Aisleyne's Grand Prix celebrations. Despite a minimal amount of sleep she wasn't quite ready to give up yet, so Aisleyne and her entourage headed off to the Amber Lounge - which is THE after-race place to be to rub shoulders with the Grand Prix in-crowd. She didn't stay all that long, however, as the jetlag eventually caught up with her. She headed back to the hotel for some shut-eye, but not before she had called room service who brought her some (rather miniscule!) pieces of cheese on toast. After catching up on lost sleep, Aisleyne was up again next morning and around midday was off to the airport. Next stop - Bali!
