Burlesque Film Premiere

On Monday 13th December Aisleyne attended the gala premiere of the movie "Burlesque" at the Empire Leicester Square.

She shared the red carpet (which was actually deep pink!) with the film's two main stars, Cher and Christina Aguilera, other stars of the film such as Kristen Bell and Cam Gigadet and a host of other celebrities, including Abi Titmuss, Ellie Goulding, Jason Gardner and Imogen Thomas. A number of them dressed to match the burlesque theme.

Aisleyne opted for a short champagne-coloured stretch-fitted satin dress by Rare, featuring ruching to the sides, a frill to the peplum and shoulders and a notch from the neckline. She had her hair up and wore black peep-toed HH shoes.

The event naturally attracted a huge amount of media coverage. So how did Aisleyne measure up, attention-wise, against such legendary competition? We can safely say, rather well, actually. Well enough, in fact, for Sky Showbiz to include Aisleyne in their "Who Stole the Show?" poll along with Cher and Xtina, plus the ever-ostentatious Paloma Faith. We would say that after Cher and Christina themselves, Aisleyne was the one most prominently featured in the general media coverage, with a great deal of favourable comment.

Aisleyne enjoyed the film, but didn't stay for the after party, choosing instead to just go with her pal Bianca Gascoigne for a quiet drink at the Mayfair Hotel before heading for home.
