Saturday Night's All Right

On Saturday October 1st during her stay in Dublin, Aisleyne appeared as a guest on RTE One's "The Saturday Night Show", which is billed as "Ireland's Number One Saturday night entertainment show".

Introduced by host Brendan O'Connor as having led an "extremely eventful life", Aisleyne made a dazzling entrance in a sparkling - and very short - black dress embellished with crystals. Brendan said "You look great for someone who was out late last night", referring to the previous night's extended celebrations at Alan Hughes's wedding.

The interview ranged across a number of topics, beginning with Aisleyne's memories of "the real" Amy Winehouse, how they had met, and why Aisleyne had had to go on TV to defend herself in the days after Amy's tragic death.

The conversation then turned to Aisleyne's "extraordinary" life, her broken relationship with her mother and why she hoped being on Irish TV would make her mum proud of her. Then some questions about Mike Tyson and finally some chat about the previous day's wedding, with Brendan anxious to get some insider confirmation about Georgia Salpa's single status!

After the broadcast, Aisleyne returned to The Morgan Hotel to rejoin the wedding after-party (we DID say the celebrations were "extended"!) in the Penthouse Suite (complete with caravan on the roof). We hear that the highlight of this stage of proceedings was a karaoke sing-off between Alan and Aisleyne. If you recall their classic rendition of "I Will Survive" on "Celebrity Salon" you will doubtless be as sorry as we are to have missed it.

After all that hard partying, interrupted by a television appearance, on Sunday Aisleyne was happily fit enough to get to the airport in time for her flight home.
