Celebrity BBBOTS09 January 2012 Hot on the heels of the launch of the new series of Celebrity Big Brother, it was announced that Aisleyne would be appearing on Channel 5's spin-off show "Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side" on Monday 9th January. As one of the new housemates was Irish beauty Georgia Salpa, who Aisleyne met and became friends with on last year's Celebrity Salon, we fully expected that Ash would be quizzed about her pal. Coincidentally, over that first weekend it emerged that Georgia was nominated for a Wednesday eviction, along with dancer Andrew Stone. This meant that what Aisleyne might say about Georgia could assume added significance in potentially influencing an eviction vote. Others on the panel with Aisleyne were acid-tongued Pete Burns and X-factor finalists Two Shoes. Presenter Emma Willis opened the show and introduced the panellists, including "the one who during her time in BB7 added a lot of "e's" to her name - Aisleeeeeeeeyne!" - camera on Ash looking cool and demure in a sheer white buttoned-up blouse with black edging. In answer to a flurry of tweets asking where Aisleyne bought the blouse, the answer is - in a small shop in Spain. Sorry girls! Georgia had been labelled by some to be "quiet and boring". Emma turned to Aisleyne and said "you know her don't you?" "That's my girl that's my baby" replied Aisleyne, who denied that Georgia was "quiet". "She's just cool and not an attention seeker like Andrew" she said, adding "I wanna strangle him" Aisleyne thought Georgia had been nominated because she was an "easy target" because she was from Ireland and British people didn't know a lot about her. Emma asked Ash whether Georgia and Kirk would get together, which drew an unequivocal "Nah! he's not her type.". Aisleyne was clearly not impressed with "hormonal boys" Frankie and Kirk. So did Aisleyne's sterling defence of Georgia pay off when eviction time came? Well, we DID note that Georgia WAS the early clear favourite to go, but SOMETHING happened between Saturday and Wednesday, because it was Andrew who had to leave. So we're sure that Aisleyne's support definitely helped! Related links: www.aisleyne.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2949 |
