Lads' Mags at Daybreak15 October 2013 It was a (very!) early start for Aisleyne on Tuesday 15th October when she appeared live on ITV's Daybreak at the unaccustomed time of 6.40 am. As she had only arrived back from Los Angeles the day before, perhaps the time difference came to her aid. In any case she turned up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, and looking very smart in a white mini-dress. She was there to debate the subject of "lads' mags" in the context of a parliamentary meeting to be held later that day to call on Tesco and other major retailers to stop selling the likes of Nuts and Zoo. Aisleyne, billed as a "former glamour model", was there to defend the mags while Sunday Times editorial director Eleanor Mills put the case against. Ash was her usual confident and amusing self, making her points professionally and articulately. While the proponents differed about the lads mag issue they did seem to share common concerns about the easy accessibility to young people of much "harder" material on the Internet. We noted some friendly tweets between them after the broadcast anyway. Aisleyne also bumped into Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton who was at the Daybreak studios to discuss his upcoming autobiography If you weren't awake to see the programme, you can watch the discussion in your own time in the Videos section Related links: www.aisleyne.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=3100 |
