| I'm not clever enough to find the new features myself. Could you just highlight them for me? |

| Welcome remaha!
Do you mean on the forum, or on the website? |

| That's a good question! I've just been looking on the website and am now wondering whether it was those new features you were alluding to. However, I thought you meant the forum. So that's what I was asking really. |

Once you've logged into this forum, you can go back to the Ash Fans section and access all of the new features.
As for the forum, I'm still discovering things myself. So I'll leave that question to other staff. |

Yes I noticed that. I am guessing that's why you decided to move to a new forum.

Waits for the experts to come along! |

| Just popped in to give you a head start with three: You have a fully featured Rich Text editor. You can collapse forums, and just show your favourite. You have alternative forum views, (e.g. Flat and Threaded) I'll leave staff to run through some more! |

Just in case you have second thoughts about something you wrote. Not that would be of any use to me. |

Yes, this is a new board. See the FAQ for the answer to your question...

You can also ignore users by putting them on your ignore list. However, this is hardly necessary in this forum as it isn't anything like DS:BB. |

| It might take me a while to get used to the new forum, but its pretty similar to the old one, but with a few new features
I am glad the advertising things have gone, they got on my nerves. |

Location: Wessex | I'm not too concerned about the new features for now, but how do I get the old ones (eg. Avatar image and Signature text) to work? I've got the Avatar now but the Signature's still a mess. Do I need to change it to HTML? Yes, I did.

I'd be interested to know what the Forum Software is and whether it allows the mods to merge threads? It's a customised version of BBS software, requires asp. Will work with a mdb d/base, but effectively requires a full sql server back end. Yes, you can merge a thread into another thread. |

| Thanks for the info.
btw, I have noticed that some links on the forum open a new browser window while others don't. How is that done? Which is the default? |
