| Hi everyone, everytime i go on here i look to see how many members are registered on here. I think i was the 300 and 40 something member on here, maybe 343 i think. Now there almost 500 members, infact 1 member a way from the big 500 mark.

| I've been doing the same, and was thinking about starting exactly the same kind of thread.
I've been wondering all week if we were going to reach the 500 by the end of this week. Looks pretty likely now.

| We should ask Aisleyne if she can post a special hello for the 500th member. |
|
|
|
| All we need now is for 500 members to post. Sadly more than half of the 500 members have not made a single utterance. |

How many members have over 50 posts?

Hello Bengos, how are you?
I dont know the answer to that question without trawling through the statistics.
This forum though belongs to all of us and all our input keeps it thriving. It would be nice to see some more posters. There have been a few new people typing posts but more contributors would bring about fresh viewpoints and even more debate which is what keeps the forum interesting and informative.
Hopefully its a good hint to the lurkers.. |

36 members have 50 or more posts.
If you click on "User Listing" you get a list of all users which, using the controls at the bottom of the page, you can sort by number of posts
Still, it's good that people take an interest and enjoy reading the site even if they don't post

So there are 36 regulars then, in a way. I thought it might be more than that. It's true that it's good that people join to take an interest, but i've always thought one should get involved if one joins a forum.
I'm good thanks, ODM - all the better for seeing you. Isn't it about time one of us had an argument? |

| Just a few comments about the number of members, and how many are posting. It's great that we've hit the 500 mark, and I'm certain there will be plenty more to come, as developments become apparent. However our first 'marker' is actually not 500, but 506 members. Reaching that target will mean we've doubled the number registered in the 5 weeks since we moved to the new forum, and launched the AshFans section. So, when considering number of posts, you need to bear in mind that only 253 people were OA members 5 weeks ago, and approx. 100 of our number have registered in past 10 days alone. Our aim is to provide a focal point for all Aisleyne's fans, whether or not they wish to participate in discussions. The forum is actually only the third most popular section of the Site. There are two other sections which individually consistently get more daily visitors than this forum. OA |

Thanks for the info.
I didnt know so many members had joined recently, its great though.
Even if someone registers, but doesnt post, it still shows they're a huge fan, otherwise they wouldnt have taken the time out to register. Ash is an amazing person, i'm not suprised she has so many fans. xxxx |

Location: Edgware, Middlesex | In the interests of 'keeping it real' I should point out that if you compare the registration date of each member with their last login there are a large number of members who haven't logged on since they registered making them rather less than active
I'd say at least 300 members fall into this category.
Having said that the number of users online at any one time is extremely healthy. This is definitely a 'happening' forum

I'd wager half of those are in the staff area, though. Looking through the memberlist I see names with 1000+ posts who i've never seen post, and it's not often I miss a thread. |

People's post counts are transferred from the previous forum. Some members don't have enough spare time to post that much at the moment, like Ash Fans, one of our admins. |

| If we take 100 posts as a sign that someone is regular, I think out of the 700 there's 18 (of which 4 haven't posted for several months and another 5 are admin/mods). It does always seem to be the same 8-10 names online at any one time. |

| I dont even consider myself a regular. Now that's weird to me that I might be one of those 10 or so users.
I have also read the forum rules thread. This isn't going to help.
"Not permitted - threads relating to other celebrities, television programmes or specific subjects not covered above. All these areas should have their own dedicated forums elsewhere. Anyone posting an Aisleyne related topic in one of those forums would rightly expect the moderators there to delete the thread as off-topic. The same applies here. Similarly, mention of a subject by Aisleyne during her radio show or in other media will not, in itself, form the basis for an acceptable thread.
c. Big Brother 7
For discussion of BB7 show and the participating housemates. Threads relating to housemates who have appeared in other past BB or CBB programmes have been permitted to date, however, wef 1st May 2007, only BB7 related threads will be permitted. As Aisleyne has expressed the wish to move on from Big Brother, BB8 and subsequent BB and CBB programmes will be considered off-topic, and not permitted."
Well, I'm sure there will be other fan sites or I could always go back to GF and DS I suppose when BB8 is on.

I've always thought of myself as someone who doesn't "live at OA" as well, Emma - so imagine my surprise when I find i'm one of the top 10 or so posters as well!

LOL!
I'll do my best. People should remember that very few BB contestants make it a long way in the media. I think somehow If Aisleyne finds herself at the end of her road as far as the media is concerned, which is very possible for ALL of them but hopefully not, she will just move onto something else and be okay. How will some people cope if she moves out of the lime light? |

Now it's over 700. The online numbers are not increasing and that's a shame.
Are people signing up, having a look, and then going? How many active members do we have? People who post or lurk regularly.
If you click on 'User Listing' you can see the date that each member registered and the date that they last logged in. There are a huge number of members who have not logged in since they registered and probably about 400 who haven't logged in this month.
Having said that, the number of online users is pretty impressive (13 at the moment and it's just gone midnight!). That's the true indicator of a site's popularity, IMO.

You're quite right. That's because of the invisibility setting. If you choose to be invisible on the site, then the user listing lists your last "visible" log in. |

| Lots of guests online this morning! 15! |
|
|
|
| Now it's 22 guests. Logging on at more than 1 a minute.
Who are they? Who are they? How did they find us? |
|
|
|
| DO we know where these guests are clicking in from?
The site statistics a few minutes ago showed that there were 225 sessions yesterday, around the March average based on the sessions this month figure of about 4600. So far today (around 10.30am) there have already been 118 sessions, a amjority of which I would assume were "guest sessions". Only a small proportion of these actually go on to register, but registrations do seem to run around 10-12 per day.
Comment has been made about how few of these new members have started posting on the forum. That would be excellent of course, but I think there'll always be a marked Pareto effect on that front i.e. more (far more) than 80% of posts will come from (much) less than 20% of members. The performance measures that really matter to "Brand Aisleyne" surely must have more to do with:-
1. Getting more visitors to the site, and giving them enough content to engage them, and keep them returning, but not quite enough to satisfy them, thereby encouraging them to register. A tricky balancing act.
2. Keeping the content fresh enough and up-to-date enough to encourage new members to keep coming back for more. A lot of laudable effort has gone into (successfully) improving the site's structure and design; attention will presumably now shift to the three things that keep 'em coming back - CONTENT, CONTENT and CONTENT!
3. Encouraging new members to get beyond lurking and into posting. I'll leave the "Great Forum Debate" to other FMs and other threads, except to say that think points 1 and 2 above are higher priority Critical Succees Factors to "Brand Aisleyne". Not thatI don't think that posting on the forum isn't important - I suggest my posting record speaks for itself on that score. And of course the killer differentiator for this site is in the forum - AISLEYNE POSTS HERE!! (Did I mention she called me "babe" in her recent post?)

| You never know where a new surge of traffic might be coming from. Possibly a link to aisleyne.com has appeared on a busy blog somewhere, or perhaps its a burst of through traffic from Ash's myspace page?
I put links into Brian Harvey's forum last week and I noticed one of his fans duly appeared in the invincible chat room as a result. We should all try and spread the word of Ash, even in hostile company!

I've just been advised by fellow staff members to slightly amend my earlier promise. I will now strip naked and dance around Trafalgar Square, but only if we don't get to 1000 members. |

Good thinking. We wouldn't want to have a disincentive for people to join |

Don't worry, it's 1000 members ever, so Maringo's column will probably never appear in Trafalgar Square. |

We could top the thousand by the start of BB8.
If not sooner - registrations passed 900 this morning.

Welcome pebbles!

| Welcome to our 1100th member! I don't know who you are, as someone else joined when I went to check!
Unfortunately, you just missed out on Aisleyne's marathon session on the forum. However, if you introduce yourself in Introduce Yourself, then she might just welcome you personally (like she did to Jimmy)! |

| There has been approximately seven members per day joining over the last two days. Over a week that would mean roughly 50 new members a week....and 200 per month...looks like Aisleyne is doing very well with the fans. |

I put it higher than that, Odm. There have been 14 already today, and still six hours to go. In the previous seven days there were 76 registrations, which within a hairsbreadth averages 11 per day, if I'm reading the user listing correctly, that is.
Lot of guests around at the moment, too.
So I have to agree with your conclusion, just even more so!

The number seems very significant to me (stands silently for one minute). My mother in law hasn't been activated into any level of awakening. She's still asleep on our sofa after her dinner and 2 glasses of wine. |

If person (and also a member) then goes to another part of Site, the system still keeps track of them. However, if a visitor to Site doesn't enter forum, then they're tracked via separate Site statistics, and don't appear in the forum online figures. |

| I have Lost count with how many members are on this site, It just proves how popular Aisleyne is even though Big Brother 7 ended last year. People are still interested in her and want to follow her career. |

| I assume it's Screenwipe that has prompted the recent flurry of guests and some registrations.
If you've just registered and you're reading this - welcome to Aisleyne's yard, y'get me? |

I suspect though that the downtime over the weekend has put paid to any faint hope of hitting 4000 users by end of year. 3900 might be a makeable target however.

Shame there doesn't appear to be a Finnish edition of Maxim - there does seem to be lot of pent-up demand for Aisleyne "product" in that part of the world. Doubtless Aisleyne Ltd will be adding that factor to their SWOT analysis./Boston Matrix.. |

| In recent times, each day has seen the number of user sessions (member and guest) range between about 200 on a quietish day, to 300/400 on a busy day, up to a high of 600+ just after the newsletter went out.
Sometime in the next few minutes there will have been 1000 completed sessions so far today, with a good many more to come. |

| Morning, Secret, your inner anorak beat my inner anorak to the punch, but I'll post what I was going to post anyway, if you'll forgive the duplication:
Sorry, but my inner anorak is compelling me to note that we reached 3700 members overnight, and have already seen 500 sessions. I guess it's our Finnsih friends who are again predominating (66 guests at the moment), but I think that there are a couple of Brazilians among the registrations - so THEY will feel right at home with SOME of the pics in the store, won't they?

"Quieter" is a relative term. There have already been over 1000 sessions so far today -and 24 registrations. At this rate there's a chance we might yet reach the 4000 members by New Year.

Speaking of relative terms, what if members refused to give relatives Christmas presents until they also joined the site? Then we'd definitely reach 4000 by the end of the year. |

There must be a general 'buzz' going round after those pics appeared at the weekend. Plus I expect quite a few of our Finnish friends are still clicking through from that site. The page will probably remain there forever, so it should continue to provide Finnish visitors for some while to come
Our old friend the Google Trends Analyzer seems to be showing a recent rise in searches for Ash: http://www.google.co.uk/trends?q=aisleyne&ctab=0&hl=en

Recently reached 4,400 members adding 100 in last 8 days, so at a similar rate that should get us to 5,000 by about 9 March. A big publicity splurge for the Aisleyne Show and/or the Unique Launch should hopefully accelerate that. |

| Aisleyne's appearance on the Grace Dent programme being shown on Channel 4 has clearly prompted a lot of guest sessions on here - 92 users online at the moment. |
