This weekend's Telegraph magazine Stella contains a "lifestyle diary" item by someone called Lucy Cavendish (a "country mother of four") which begins:
A few weeks after I get back from Cannes I am still convinced I am imbued with the happy, sun-kissed, glistening aura that only celebrities usually have. I am, however, aware that this tan will fade and, with it, my happy mood. My friend Aisleyne suggests a fake tan. 'If you want to keep that South of France feeling,’ she says, 'get a tan.’
Now, the advice given DOES chime with the advice that "our" Aisleyne might give to a friend in these circumstances. But I have no idea if Ash has a friend called Lucy Cavendish who might write for the Telegraph.
Intriguing, innit?
