| According to UnrealityTV.co.uk, the new series of Snog Marry or Avoid on BBC3 starts in February and will include a number of celebrity "makeunders", including Denise Mason, the Cheeky Girls, current CBBHM Michelle Heaton, past CBB HMs Jodie Marsh and Chantelle, and one past BBHM called, what was her name again? - oh yeah, AISLEYNE!
Now you may think as I do that Ash has already re-invented her image quite considerably since those heady days immediately post-BB7, but I'm sure it will be fascinating to see what happens in this programme.
What do you reckon?

It's not my usual sort of thing, but obviously Aisleyne's appearance means compulsory viewing. |

If its the same as Series 1 its not done through computer graphics, its just they use a computer-type 'interface' to select things like ideal hair colour and lipstick etc. The transformation then appears instantaneous, thanks to the way they edit it.

| I see that the programme is produced by Cheetah Television - an Endemol company
Here's the Endemol announcement last September about the re-commissioning - seems like it's an iPlayer fave

| The new series of "Snog Marry Avoid?" starts next Monday 16 Feb, and it looks like the first celeb to get "the treatment" is Chantelle Houghton. In her case I guess they could get Preston to comment as he has done all three .... and in the right order! UK-TV-GUIDE - Snog, Marry, Avoid |

| I don't as yet know when the edition featuring Aisleyne is due to be aired, but I HAVE heard a whisper that she has recorded a promo for it, which is intended to be shown earlier that evening at the end of Eastenders (so just before 8pm) on BBC1.
ETA:
Heatworld announce that they are "officially obsessed" with SMA? and have an extended preview video of the Jodie Marsh POD analysis. They also mention some of the other celebs to be featured, including Aisleyne.

How could they not be obsessed with SMA? They heard that their beloved Aisleyne was involved in it. |

Good to hear she'll be doing a promo right after EastEnders though ;-)

| Seems to be a lot of media interest in this programme, and the audience figures for last night's programme (Chantelle) were up on the previous series, which was itself seen as a success for BBC3 (hence the longer run and the "celeb" angle for this second series)

According to my TV schedule, Ash's programme is due to be aired on Monday the 2nd of March.
UK TV Guide agree with your schedule, empty, and revive a highly relevant, if slightly obvious, catchphrase in their programme summary

ETA:
Same details, same catchphrase, now on the BBC website schedule:

| Heatworld feature the video, with great glee in the comments from "the public", of course
I'm inclined to agree with their final comment, though it IS a tad OTT, perhaps?

| The fact that the preview is now out there would suggest she is on next Monday. Thought she was a little OTT at the beginning but I thought her make up looked great especially the eyes. Maybe a few years back she might have needed a bit of a make-under but I think her make up is done massively better now.
Look at me, acting as if he knows what he is talking about when it comes to make up.... still you know what I mean |

Location: Edgware, Middlesex | I've never had a problem with Aisleyne's makeup. In fact, based on some of the early morning sans-makeup looks we got to see in BB I always used to be really impressed by Aisleyne's skill at makeup
Sorry Ash
Still, if it gets her on TV they can call it as overdone as they want

| Just before you switch to BBC3 for 8:30pm tonight to watch Aisleyne on "Snog Marry Avoid", it may well be worth catching the end of Eastenders on BBC1 as there should be a trailer for SMA featuring Aisleyne. It could of course just appear at other times too eg just before Eastenders, so keep your eyes peeled during links between BBC progs today.
Also, I see that Ash's POD preview on the BBC channel of Youtube has been attracting a very sizable number of views - nearly 23,000 to date over the last 6 days. It's one of the most viewed of the BBC clips and is presently showing the following "honours" for the UK Youtube site as a whole:
#50 - Most Discussed (This Week) - Entertainment
#50 - Most Viewed (This Week)
#20 - Most Viewed (This Week) - Entertainment
#91 - Top Rated (This Week) - Entertainment

| It was a great makeunder and Ash didn't do a Chantelle or a Jodie Marsh and revert to type - even though she looked far better than them in the first place, of course :-)

|
| Yeah Aisleyne looked good. So much more natural. Perhaps she could be a role model to those who come on the show. She'd make a good presenter, and given Jenny a run for her money. Well she's been on both sides of the fence. Aisleyne looks so so much better with less make-up and she doesn't need another one of those jobs. (You know what the star keep going on about) I hope she doesn't go down that road it will be like taking 10 steps back. (It's up to her of course) but............ |

| Thanks for the grabs, shm!
Well done, Aisleyne, that was a very assured performance! And agree 100% with what emptybox says.
The programme is now up on I-player for 7 days. Aisleyne's segment starts at around 10.50, and the catch-up interview at the end at 25.36.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00j06wp
More permanently, the makeunder part is also now on the BBC's Youtube channel:

| "Likeable" Aisleyne "looked as pretty as picture" in her "barely there make-up".
Who says so? The Sun online, that's who.
With a couple of screen grabs to prove it:

|
| Remember there's another (non-nightshift!) chance to see this on BBC3 at 22.25 this evening. |
|
|
|
| Another showing - the last "non-nightshift" one - is on at 11pm. |
|
|
|
| There's a mention for Aisleyne in a Sun online feature on next week's SMA, which will have double trouble in the shape of the Cheeky Girls

| This episode is being repeated on BBC3 this Saturday 28th at 7:10pm, and will probably get a number of nightshift repeats during next week. This should also put it back into I-player for another few days. |
|
|
|
| Well SOMEBODY's watching BBC Three at the moment, judging by the sudden rise in guests (41 at moment) visting this site.
ETA: Peaked at about 76 shortly after the show ended. |
|

|
| While the current series of SMA? is still continuing, there is also a raft of repeats of the earlier shows coming up over the next few days. Aisleyne's episode (programme 3) will be on again on Sunday 19 Apr 2009 at 20:30 hrs, with further night shift showings at:
Mon 20 Apr 2009 at 03:40
Tue 21 Apr 2009 at 03:00
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00j06wp
There's also this interesting comment on a (non-BB) Digital Spy forum thread about SMA? by a poster who isn't a BB poster, and so far as I know isn't one of us "usual suspect" Aisleyne fans:
i also think BB housemate Aisleyne would be a better host than jenny frost - she was really natural, funny and likable when she had her makeunder. a much more believable host for it than plastic jenny!

| A peaktime repeat tomorrow Thursday 23 July at 8pm, plus a couple more nightshift showings

So it's also back on iPlayer for a week or so. |

| Ash's bit on SMA was uploaded to Youtube this year by the official SMA channel. It seems most of the views and comments come from Americans so maybe the show went out in the USA and this was them promoting it online? Either way, most of the comments are really positive. They don't seem to be sure what 'snog' means, this being a British slang word.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tveL0NFInw
P.S. They've edited out the introductory bits about her BB appearance and subsequent career. |
