| Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe returns to BBC 4 on 18th November, and as we know from her diary, Aisleyne will be appearing as the programme's mascot (whatever that may entail? )
A trailer (without mascot) has now appeared, so I thought I'd start this thread off now in anticipation of some impending televisual Aisleyne-ness.

Great news and excellent choice of mascot. |

| I understand that Aisleyne will be filming topical items all day Monday for this new series of Screenwipe. |

Watch each episode and you'll find out I've got a slight technical hitch as far as TV viewing is concerned at the mo. I'm in the Borders, and we are going through the digital switch over as we speak. That doesn't just mean the analogue channels are being switched off, but all the digital channels are being moved from 2k wosname to 8k wosname, and I've discovered that my hitherto dependable TV card in my computer, just isn't compatible with the new format. Anything that had a digital tick will cope fine, but a lot of older set top boxes and TV cards will just stop working. I'll buy myself a new card, but it won't be here for the first show. In the meantime I'm using that Zatoo player that you mentioned a while ago. It's fine when it works, but is a bit hit and miss. |

| There was another Screenwipe trailer just now on BBC2 (just before the QI Special for Children in Need) |

| I've found the Zattoo player works better on BBC channels if thats any consolation - not sure if the Beeb are putting Screenwipe on the iPlayer - I don't think its been on since the iPlayer launched

| Don't know if the content of Charlie's Screenburn column this morning is an indicator of the "topical items" that might appear in Screenwipe, but it's X-factor that he has in his sights this morning, focussing on Eoghan, Laura and Daniel.
If so, he could be in a bit of bother from "a certain quarter". Should he REALLY be headlining with a dig at a reality show contestant's slightly unusual Irish name?

| We are reminded that filming for Screenwipe is underway at the moment, and will continue into the early evening.
ETA: if you want to get your creative juices flowing, why not look at the synopsis of tomorrow night's programme and try to guess how Ash's comedic talents might be best employed.
You can also see when you can catch the repeats - depending on how much of an insomniac you are...

| I hear that Aisleyne finished filming at 8 pm this evening, and that there are a number of different characters to look forward to .....
.....including, allegedly, an old favourite. |

Location: Scottish Borders | Ah well, no Ash tonight. Luckily my Zatoo player played ball and allowed me to watch it without too many problems. The screen turned to porridge for a few seconds near the begining, but it recovered. |

| Even without Ash it was a great first episode. I especially liked the 'offensive' end-credits, complete with email address for OFCOM :-)
Plus who actually noticed that zombie Davina had been a 'dummy' in some shots? Not me!

| I noted that she was the only appearing on the credits as a "contributor" other than Tim Key. |

Location: Gosport | Great to see her again, albeit just in a cameo role - love her new look, here's hoping this isn't her only appearance in the series.
Today Ais is the most successful of the BB7 contestants and her involvement in Screenwipe has been a major factor in that. Cheers, Charlie! :D |

I agree. All credit to Charlie for giving Aisleyne the opportunities she has deserved. Hopefully more producers will wake up and recognise her potential. |

| It's Brooker vs Brooker around 11 o'clock tonight, with Screenwipe on BBC4 vs last two eps of Dead Set on e4.
There's no "Clash-leyne" problem though as her Screenwipe appearances will be well before her "killer" performance in Dead Set. If you want to watch both programmes in full, then you'll need to watch Dead Set an hour later on e4+1. |

| I enjoyed my TV last night. I've lost count of the number oftimes I've watched the first and last episodes of Dead Set. I still haven't got fed up of it. I'd love to see a sequel with a new group of "normal persons" and more zombie dialogue for Aisleyne. |

I don't think that boldjohn is the one responsible for the mistaken idea about zombies' conversational abilities, empty
And regarding Screenwipe I see that next Tuesday's edition is a 50 minute special with writers from Doctor Who, Father Ted, Life on Mars etc talking about programme making. Sounds like a fascinating show, and well worth watching, but not one, I'd have thought, where Aisleyne's comic acting talents might be required. But you never know....

I keep forgetting to check the subtitles when Dead Set has been on. |

Nope, no Aisleyne, but yep, a REALLY fascinating programme.
Wonder if Russell T invited Charlie to join the writing team for Dr Who, or if they discussed possible future casting possibilities? |

Location: Gosport | Tonight Charlie tackles 'I am on a mission to...'-style documentaries, including making a spoof one of his own. As that'd call for supporting cast, I imagine there'd be quite a possibility Ais will appear in some capacity?

So does mine - but "in a change to the billed episode" it's the "mission tv" one.
