| Aisleyne will be launching her "Unique by Aisleyne" range and will be wearing clothes from it to this week's Drapers Awards and Club4Climate events. There's more information in the following report that was recently added to the News section of the site...

|
|
| This is terrific news!
The clothes on the Unique website are SO-O-O "Aisleyne"
And a Manchester Company too! Two minutes from Piccadilly Station. |

| Yes, great news
Can't wait to see these 'Unique by Aisleyne' designs on Aisleyne herself, as well as her guests
Does this in any way explain the overseas business trips being made the other week, or was that something else entirely?

| Some more info...
The range will be available in major departments stores (e.g. Selfridges) and boutiques, and also the leading online retailers (e.g. ASOS).
Details of the filming on Thursday will be released after the event. There should be similar days in the future and the first programme should air in December. |
|
|
|
| Better and better!
There are TWO whopping great Selfridges in Manchester - City Centre and Trafford - Aisleyne will HAVE to see her goods on display there as well!
ASOS issue an email newsletter - I hope they will feature this exciting new range in an impending issue.
Good move re Orlaith and Lisa too - Orlaith's a pretty close "body double" for Ash, and Lisa provides perfect "diversity". is this a one-off or will they be modelling the range again? |

| I really really hope this project is a resounding success for Aisleyne.
For one thing I'm much happier for Ash to be making money from clothes rather than from the absence of clothes.
But in any case, being a fashion guru is a MUCH longer term prospect than the glamour modelling, no matter how long Aisleyne chooses to remain 27 years old.
It really does appear to be an area that's an authentic one for her to get involved in and have a genuine input to, and be more than just a "face" grafted cynically to the front of a "product" - which is what I fear is the case with Chanelle and "her" perfume Mwah.
Every Success, Aisleyne! |

Aisleyne will be in Manchester on Tuesday in various meetings in connection with 'Unique by Aisleyne'.
Lucky Manchester!
I think that somebody should brief Aisleyne that there are TWO Manchester football teams, and that some of the people she's meeting might just have heard her broadcast rejoicing at seeing one of those teams getting pulped 6-0 at Chelsea. |

Location: Stoke-on-Trent | We can now reveal here first in the forum, before the official press announcement next week, that the 'Unique by Aisleyne' brand will be more than the already announced range of funky and glamorous dresses.
At the Pure show, starting Feb 10th, 'Unique by Aisleyne' will also be showing a complete range of swimwear.
Aisleyne started working on ideas and designs for swimwear last summer. Now UbA is announcing a comprehensive swimwear range of approx. 30 different garments including bikinis, swimsuits, wraps and sarongs. These will be on show at Pure and, like the dress range, available in retail outlets shortly afterwards.

| Brilliant news for Ash and her team.
Thanks for the update |
|
|
|
| What marvellous news!
This really sounds "the business" - it nicely builds on Aisleyne's many press appearances on her various beach/holiday shoots, which also underlines her credibility as having had a significant input to the designs.
And of course she is her own perfect model - the complete package indeed.
Oh yes, sarong's so right!

| It’ll be fascinating to see if these designs reflect Aisleyne’s preference for, shall we say, a minimalist approach in these matters, won’t it?
Perhaps, she will be asked to provide Britain’s entry to the Eurovision Thong Contest?
If there is such a thing. If there isn’t, there should be.

I somewhat doubt that, perhaps the odd piece, but I have a feeling to make the range more accessible and commercial she will opt for the opposite which would be a huge relief IMHO.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent | Just to clarify the position regarding a full press release relating to this news. Unique decided to upload an interim draft so that there would be some interim content for it's site. No press release has yet been issued - there have been several revisions since that version of the draft. The purpose of tomorrow's all day shoot is to photograph some of the garments that we've decided to show at Pure; the images from this shoot will accompany the actual press release, which is due to be issued mid week. That press release, which will be the first one actually sent out by EdenCancan, together with some of the accompanying images, will of course be available on OA.

Location: Stoke-on-Trent | It now seems fairly certain that UbA will not be promoting the swimwear range in the forthcoming press release. The principal reason is that the dress collection, ready for Pure, is now larger than anticipated. Tomorrow's photoshoot for newspapers and magazines, will therefore be exclusively of dresses and similar.
Although it is planned to have the swimwear range at Pure, it will now be photographed on another day, with a separate press release. It is hoped that this will occur in the 10 days between the end of Pure and leaving for the Dublin show. |

Excellent ! I hope all 10 are there to add value and not just to gawp at the view, though who could blame 'em....?
Let's hope the fashion world, the media and the customers feel the same.
ETA:
Right -I've been trying to work out who made up the 10 people:
Aisleyne = 1
Other directors of Aisleyne Ltd = 1
Photographer + assistant = 2
Unique Collections - Director + dresser = 3
Red TV - Camera + sound = 2
Make-up + hairdresser = 2
Hey! That makes 11 - who didn't turn up?

Location: Stoke-on-Trent | Todays shoot finished around 19:00. Aisleyne modelled a total of 22 new 'Unique by Aisleyne' dresses up to around 17:00. Aisleyne LTD then sat down and selected photos of 6 different dresses, chosen at random but different styles and colours, for overnight retouching and finishing. These have to go to a magazine in the morning. There was very positive feedback on every garment from all those present - 13 people for a period mid afternoon. Aisleyne LTD will now be choosing which photos they want to use from a short list of around 900 images tomorrow evening while in Birmingham. The finished photos will all be available for press publications in time for Pure. Subject to the time pressures of preparing for Pure, a selection of photos will be made availabe on the gallery. |

| Well well Ash you have been hiding a lot up your sleeve, just when your critics thought you were no more or never where as some have cruelly suggested in the past you pull your biggest punch yet. They try to put you down but you keep on coming back. I am really excited for you, these designs are very assessable, I think they will sell well, looking forward to seeing the whole range. |
| Awesome. Simply awesome. I just wish I was qualified to make an informed judgment,
They're truly all very sexy, and all very Aisleyne, but what a new, elegant, 2008 Aisleyne we see there, innit?
And I'm really struck by the very small palette of colours used in what we see so far (about a quarter of the collection maybe?) Lots of black and white and just a few other reddish shades (terra cotta? Sorry I'm clueless on colours). No patterns, no prints (so far) .
Favourite? Dunno yet - though I DO like the Twiggy homage of garment 14 (that's 1960's Twiggy not 2008 M&S Twiggy of course)
Unfavourite? Nope - though I don't think the boots do any favours for garment 09.
But what do I know....
(NB Previous two lines written BEFORE I read emptybox's post!!! )
Congratulations Aisleyne and all concerned. Got to be a big hit. Can't wait to see the rest of the collection - IN THE STORES!!

Did Ash design the jeans too or is it just the tops and dresses. The designs are young and often quirky but you have to have the right figure for them. I particularly like versions of the dresses in white. The collection should do well and no doubt this is only the beginning.
All the best Ash |

| So they are Sophie. The gallery is excellent now. Special thanks to Aisleyne for showing off her personal photos. That to me is well above and beyond the call of duty. |

Love It! have hired one of London's trendy clubs for the shoot. Further details are embargoed at this stage. The results of the shoot will be a feature spread in a forthcoming issue of the magazine. Today's shoot is underway, Aisleyne will be modelling up to 9 dresses from her club collection. The shoot is taking place at Raffles Club in Kings Rd, SW3. |

| "Club collection" , eh? So how many sub-collections are there? I guess it's something like daywear (jeans and tops) - club (short n' sassy eg the "asp" -dresses) and the "ambassador's collection" such as Friday night's cocktail dress.
Close enough for cigar?
Hope the shoot's going well - looking forward to seeing the result.

| Apparently, the "Fashion Police" are on "Red alert"
The comments are somewhat sarcastic, but a nice assortment of pictures AND there's a link to the UbA site.
Apparently we have Fashion Police Officer Stephanie to thank for the report. So that's 5/10 to you, Miss Plod.

| I notice that heat rag have made their article on Aisleyne's clothes range headline news, to invite maximum bashing. As we all know Heat rag readers have been trained to dislike Ash, so the majority of the comments are no surprise duh. A few have rebelled though. In contrast I notice that the positive review she has received from the Star is also headline news on their website homepage. The best review yet IMHO. It's funny though that people are drawing conclusions already when the whole range is still yet to be revealed.

So which one(s) are you going to buy then?
Maybe Aisleyne will call one of her designs "Sophie" ? |

i think there all nice like

| I wonder if her stuff is actually in the shops at this moment. No doubt all will be revealed soon under stock list.
It would be nice to see Ash or other models walking on a catwalk modelling her outfits to some funky music, that would give this site an extra edge.
Still pictures are great but moving pictures tell a bigger story. Either way I am sure it will work though.
I wonder whats under wraps? Possibly the rest of the range there are apparently 60 functional dress, so the majority of the range is yet to be revealed. Also there is the swim range collection.
Perhaps there will be pictures of other celebrities wearing her designs in the gallery as well.
It's a work in progress....
How did today go in Dublin is there any feedback?
Also is there any truth of Ash being asked to another collection for the next London Fashion Show I hope it is true?

| "Aisleyne's Progress" - as I see it
2006 - can't afford Lipsy - wears Primark
2007 - models for Lipsy - presents award to Primark
2008 - competes with Lipsy - will probably be copied by Primark
Pretty good going, eh?

| While you're waiting your opportunity to buy a UbA dress, if you're a size 8 you could bid on eBay for a dress like Aisleyne wore at Movida's 2nd birthday last June. Only £5 at the moment...

Photographs of 4 of the garments modelled at yesterdays shoot have been added to the gallery.
http://www.aisleyne.com/gallery/gallery.asp
These photos have been forwarded to Drapers Record for publication. Photgraphs of the other 18 garments should be added to the gallery over the next week or so.
The Draper's article is now featured on the Unique Collections website - with the 4 pics of Aisleyne.

| Shome mishtake shurely? That appears a balanced article from an industry insider's viewpoint with no bitchiness or sneering involved. Can that really be genuine? Has this person never read 'heat'?
:-)

| I found the article EXTREMELY interesting, especially put together with the interviews with the Unique people on the TV programme. They seem to have a very clear idea of their positioning, capabilities and competitive strengths, so the fact that they see Aisleyne as adding value to their brand is surely an impressive compliment to her "market attractiveness" |

Although it has to be said that the insider merely credits Aisleyne with being the face of the brand or endorsing it rather than having any hand in designing it

| Ofni's STRICTLY UNOFFICIAL press release...
"UNIQUE BY AISLEYNE" SELLS OUT!
"They just flew off the racks"
"Unprecedented demand"
"Everyone wants to look like Aisleyne"
"We sold out in no time. Please send more ASAP."
Those were just a few of the retailers' comments received by leading fashion wholesaler Unique Collections Ltd about sales of the first deliveries of the "Unique by Aisleyne" fashion range launched recently. Unique's MD Sandeep Malhotra says, "Our many years of experience told us that these designs were going to take the market by storm, but even we were taken by surprise by the sheer speed with which they sold out."
"We’ve got plenty more in the pipeline though," he is quick to add.
So what's made the difference? Malhotra is in no doubt, "It's the A factor - A for Aisleyne. We have the expertise, the designers, the buyers, the manufacturing, the logistics, the relationship with our retailers - Aisleyne has just brought that extra Celebrity touch both to our design effort and to our marketing. It's made a perfect partnership."
And what does Big Brother housemate turned fashion guru Aisleyne make of it? "I'm just so excited," she says "I've had so much criticism in the past about my dress-sense. I just wanted to show everyone what I could do, and I hope I have now silenced the critics once and for all. I just love working with the lovely people at Unique - we've already started work on the Autumn collections!"
It seems there's much more to come from "Unique by Aisleyne". So the fashion industry had better "know itself" !
ENDS

| Perhaps she wants to be promoted more as the designer rather than just the person wearing the stuff.
She will probably stick to just doing promotional shots when she is out and about. |
|
|
|
| I wonder if a certain Mr Bennett will be buying a "Cherry" dress as a present for his Other Half of that name. Not her usual style perhaps, but the black version with suitable accessorizing might pass as "dress-up gothic". |

Yep the Essex girls seem to be pretty well catered for, and Preston also seems to be an exception to Unique's 10-mile retail exclusion zone. I also see that the wannabe WAGs of Cheshire's Golden Triangle have a choice between either Hale or else just off Deansgate if they're in town. |

Location: Stoke-on-Trent | The swimwear section has now been updated with stock available. http://www.uniquebyaisleyne.co.uk/swimwear-34-c.asp Aisleyne will be modelling the swimwear for newspapers and magazines but has decided that for shop use and catwalks etc she will be using a model. Partial pix of Aisleyne may be shown (and already are) but Aisleyne would prefer not to model the swimwear in the shop.

That's kind of a pity, from an Ash fan's point of view, but I guess Ash can't be everywhere at once. |
