Football has a language of it's own.

I seem to remember that Ash wore an England shirt in the BB house. I'm hoping I haven't dreamt this because I've mentioned it in my EMail to her.

Ash might have borrowed the one that Mikey gave to Glyn, but I can't remember clearly that far back.

She definitely seems to be wearing one here...

Thanks Maringo. If she was wearing it. That counts. I told Ash that the only person who impressed me in an England shirt during the last world cup was her on BB. Hopefully I was right.

Given the accessibility of this broadcast, the good write-up (and link! ) on the BBC website, and the amount of airtime Ash looks likely to get, shouldn't this gig be flagged on the homepage?

I've been busy and only just tuned in, what has happened so far?

--Edited to add what I missed--

Nice intro from the presenter. It's her first live match.

Confused that there are 3 goalkeepers on the pitch, or are there 4???

An Arsenal fan, because a friend used to come into school wearing their shirts. Grew up opposite Joe Cole. Went out with a mate of hers.

Talks about Miss Jamaica UK. Won't slag them off unless they're dogs.

Just in case Aisleyne's report on the goal wasn't detailed enough...

"1516: GOAL Chelsea 1-0 Manchester City
Frank Lampard finds Michael Essien with a pass into the box down the right channel and the midfielder flashes a shot across Joe Hart into the opposite corner of the net. "

I enjoyed the show but not the result. It wasn't the most informative sports report in the world, but it was highly entertaining. Ash played her role as football virgin brilliantly and some of her reports of the action made me laugh. The amount of non-football related stuff being discussed during the game (NOT AISLEYNE'S FAULT) must have made plenty of typical footie fans switch off. It's always great to hear Aisleyne on the radio. Shame they never read out the author of all questions - including mine.

Only managed to hear a tiny sample of this broadcast, but Ash seemed to be doing really well, with great rapport and banter with the other presenters, who seemed to consider her a "legend", as well they might!

Her Invincible shows (remember them? ) do seem to have given her a good grounding and confidence in front of the mike, and the fact that she was so entertaining in a context where she was so clueless surely speaks volumes about her potential as a broadcaster. Well done Aisleyne!

I'm just listening to the "Listen again" at http://www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/kickinoff/index.shtml

The game's not started yet but already Aisleyne has made me laugh several times. Love the way she said she's a "football ground virgin"

She's a very natural performer.

According to her latest diary entry, you might be getting to hear her do this again...

Nice pic, if slightly blurry! Looks like she had a lot of room to herself there.

All the other journos will have been in the bar!

Good news about next year. I was really impressed with the whole sports programme actually. It'd take a lot to tempt me away from Radio 5 Live on a Saturday afternoon but if Ais was on every week, it would be a close run thing.

With regard to a suitable Arsenal home fixture for Aisleyne to cover this upcoming season, what could be better than the visit by Portsmouth, with her good friends Messrs Crouch and Defoe, on her **th birthday on December 28th?
