Aisleyne is thinking of publishing a Calendar for 2008. It would be approx £8 and contain full size studio shots. It is still in the early stages of planning so if anyone has any suggestions or opinions on what kind of photos to include or if they would be interested in a Calendar then please use this thread.

From a personal point of view, i'd like something stylish that will appeal to all ages/gender.

However, if she wants to make money it'll need to be saucy.

It's a shame, as i'd prefer the first idea, but will it sell?

I'd definitely be interested in buying a calendar and I'd like it to include some photos along the lines of the Aisleyne Limited ones published so far. However, it should include some less sexy and more elegant pics for her female fans as well. Perhaps a transition from an elegant look to a sexier look throughout the year? Or maybe even two separate calendars?

Thats a brill idea!!! Wooooo!!! Sounds great
I'd really like an Aisleyne calendar to put up in my room. I'd prefer shots of Ash in lovely dresses, that would appeal to me most....like elegant ones, like maringo said. xxxx

If it was tastefully done it could contain a bit of both (elegant and sexy) and appeal to all fans. However from a commercial point of view its clear to me that the vast majority of Ash's admirers are male (!)

Thanks Maringo and Becki for explaining better than I could lol.

Aisleyne has a lot of female fans, and also male fans like me who prefer her looking elegant rather than the glamour stuff.

I'm a bit of a calendar fanatic actually. I have 8 calendars on the wall of my computer room, three in my bedroom and one in the spare room!

Most of them are just from TV shows that I like but I've always hoped that some of my BB favourites would do one. This year it sounds like Michelle, Chanelle and Aisleyne will all be doing one so I'm well chuffed It's like that old joke about waiting for a bus

I can't really advise as to what would sell well but I'm not sure it would be such a good idea trying to please everyone in one calendar. A lot of people would buy a glamour calendar even if they didn't know who Aisleyne was whereas only fans are likely to go for the tamer stuff. Having said that there are a lot of fans and a lot of people might be put off by a glamour calendar particularly if it featured topless shots. I guess it depends on the market you're aiming at

If I could make a request it would be for one or two photos from that cowgirl studio shoot that's in the gallery. I love that look!

I'm not too keen on the transition idea, by the way. Remember each picture lasts a month. If all the sexy stuff is at the start and only smart and stylish towards the end then you get half way through the year and have nothing to look forward too

Regards

Julian

My first thought isn't about content but timing and logistics. The shops are already filling with Christmas stock, so I'm concerned that it's getting a bit late in the day to be starting such a project now.

My suggestion was the other way round, elegant first and sexy later. Just like my forthcoming calendar, from suit and tie in January to naked and smeared in chocolate in December.

Hey, what you mean I'd have to pay you £7.99 to take it off my hands?

Ah yes, that could work. Something to warm you up on a winter's evening

I'm referring to images of a sexy Aisleyne rather than a chocolate covered Maringo, I hasten to add

On the BFBS thread I said:

If Aisleyne is a forces favourite, perhaps she should follow up her homage to Monroe with a photographic revival of a famous morale-boosting cartoon heroine of WWII - The Daily Mirror's Jane!

More about Jane here:

http://gocomics.typepad.com/rcharvey/2007/04/the_unforgettab.html

It would be great if the Daily Mirror could be persuaded to agree to a calendar in which each page would feature a classic Jane cartoon image, together with a photographic reconstruction featuring Aisleyne.

This would fulfil what I think is the essential sauciness/glamour element the target market would require - incl HM forces (could there be a BFBS tie-in?) , but there would be a kind of camp quirkiness to it to make more than just the usual lads mag stuff. The Monroe pics and the Screen Sirens ones a few months back showed that Aisleyne looks really good in those retro-style shoot.

And jointly marketed with the Daily Mirror too.....

Classy, but sexy. That's what I'd like.

But as ofni says, she'll have to be quick off the mark, I've already ordered one for 2008.
I'd definitely buy Ash's as well though.

My personal opinion is that it would have to be glamour purely for commercial reasons. It has to sell to people outside the forum to be a commercial success. I do think there should be no topless shots though.

I agree 100% premiers.

Commercially I think it has to be glamour-oriented, but doesn't need to be topless, as Aisleyne always looks sensational in swimwear or lingerie shoots.

In a way, the members of this forum are not the best "focus group" for this question. Most of us became and remain fans of Aisleyne for reasons way beyond her physical attributes. And I guess that many of us are kind of ambivalent about the glamour side of her work. Yes, she looks fabulous, and yes we want her to succeed in something she clearly enjoys doing. But we really want to see her succeed even more in the other "lines of business" of Aisleyne Ltd.

But so far as the commercial possibilities of this particular project are concerned, it has to be glamour.

If my earlier suggestion about the "Jane reconstructions" are impractical, it would still be good if a tie-in with BFBS and one of the red-tops could be set up for Aisleyne to be "the Forces' Babe". They would, for example, have the marketing budget to support providing free copies of the calendar to "our lads" in Iraq, Afghanistan etc.

A Aisleyne Calendar sounds good but i prefer if it was more Elegant then Glamour but Aisleyne can still do some sexy shoots like in a bikni but not topless. Sexy,Elegant and Classy go together. I believe it can be done

How about an Arab TV calendar. She wouldn't be topless in that. I want to put Aisleyne up in my house for all to see. I don't want my poor mother in law having a heart attack. An Aisleyne calendar would be fantastic though. I would look forward to each new month.

I think the earlier months could be light colours....and the later months with darker colours.
July and August could be like summer shots, with outfits that are a light colour in a brightly light studio....to look like its summer.
If Aisleyne wants it to be sexy then maybe October could be like Aisleyne dressed up, like maybe them red outfits that you can get with red devil horns and a dark background.
December could be all christmasy, with loadsa tinsel and a christmas tree....lots of red and green!! wooooooooo lol.xxxx

Could Ash do two calendars - one for girls and one for boys, with I would guess a smaller print run for the girls one? She's a bit unusual for a glamour model in having a lot of female fans. A lot of glamour girls don't have any female followers to speak of. I'd buy them both, anyway :-)

My marketing tip - get her to sign the first 100 and offer them exclusively to members of Officially Aisleyne

Seems to me, if this thread is a good straw poll, the majority don't want glamour, and that includes as many blokes as it does girls.

This forum alone won't make a calendar a commercial success though.  We have to think what will sell and what people outside the forum will buy.

I'm just bumping up this thread, as the first view of calendar is now only matter of days away.

All the images are previously unreleased and have been selected with commerciality very firmly in mind. Once you've seen the images, you'll realise that Aisleyne is most definitely a very commercially minded person (especially so during a couple of the months)!

I recall in one of Aisleyne's earliest interviews how she spoke of having her boob-job "for business reasons", and it has always been clear to me that she intends to maximise the return on the deployment of the principal assets of Aisleyne Ltd, both tangible and intangible!

This year seems to be the year for the BB calendar with Danielle Lloyd, Michelle Bass, Chanelle and Aisleyne all doing one.

I have Danielle's and Chanelle's now and I've seen Michelle's online (still waiting for it to arrive) but, I have to say, Aisleyne's looks like the best of the bunch.

Good job

I'll be in enough trouble with a calendar of one female housemate and that has to be Aisleyne.

They should make a change from all the Star Trek, Doctor Who and Star Gate calendars I usually go for

Nice link for Club4Climate too, so people can put the event dates in their newly purchased Aisleyne calendar.

And there's also that mystery banner.

I would order one as soon as it came out.
long blonde hair seems to suit her.
she lit up my tv screen whenever she came on in bb7 (sorry I know she does not like people still going on and on about big bro) which was very often cos those cameras loved her photogenicity.
on the subject of hair I have already posted a suggestion that Ash could perhaps rest her hair for a few weeks -go brunette and give the old barnett a rest -professional hairstylists suggest it.
I posted the suggestion in the wrong thread.

many thanks to julian and premiersfc.

So I have ordered. The process seems secure so I did not worry
about purchasing online. It will be fantastic to receive the calender pics.
Whatever the hair colour it does not matter cos ash is ash -whether its blonde brunette raven ginger or bald. Oops did I say bald-that might be going too far.

Ciao! Aisleyne makes the Sunday (online) press in Italy!

Aisleyne's calendar features on today's La Repubblica website, with a link on the homepage. I think something has been lost in translation with regard to the subtitling.

http://www.repubblica.it/index.html?ref=hphead

Calendar pics start here

http://www.repubblica.it/2008/01/calendari/trash/aisleyne-horgan-wa...

ETA. This might explain the recent rush of guests - there has been at least one Italian registration this pm.

As I said in my post, boldjohn, I believe there's a translation issue here ie I don't think the connotation of the word is quite what it looks like - it isn't just Aisleyne's calendar that appears under that sub-heading, viz:

This is a Dutch blog entry, but it seems to have been posted by someone from Germany.

http://www.mannenbrandstof.nl/weblog/site/post_0000000926_1_babes-a...

Clearly, Aisleyne's fame knows no boundaries, national or or linguistic! An automated English translation of this German's Dutch follows. We'll forgive his mis-application of the p-word.

Aisleyne, what are you doing with me?

Big Brother provides for years beautiful and remarkable women. What we in Germany were already struggling with a glorified pornstar in England is a new phenomenon emerged.
And, she has a calendar that every man in the house would like to have, like Aisleyne Horgan Wallace herself the way.

Maybe related to this blog?

http://urdals.blog.kataweb.it/comic_blog_storie_e_immag/2008/01/07/...

The translation is a little ambiguous in places, but it seems to be generally very favourable, though there seems to be some debate of a somewhat delicate nature.

To review the calendar situation, now that we are well into March and the first two months are of, ahem, "academic" interest only, I note that Aisleyne's calendar is still priced at £7.99, while most of the others on the same webpage are now on sale at £3.99.

There are now also some package deals called "Glamour Collections" each with 4 of the "top-selling 2008 glamour calendars" at the discount price of £12.99 (reduced from £19.99). (Maybe these have been around for a while - I don't know)

Glamour collection 1 consists of Aisleyne, Chanelle, Lauren Pope and Triana Iglesias. So if you’re, say, a canny Scot who likes both Chanelle and Aisleyne , it must be a fine set of judgments whether it was better to have bought A + C at full price with a full year's calendar usage, OR have waited to buy A + C in early March for £11.98, OR pay an additional £1.01 and acquire L + T into the bargain (thus knowing what day it is in FOUR rooms of the house)

http://www.globalcalendars.co.uk/calendarlist.cfm?cid=57

PS The Sun described Aisleyne's as one of the best selling calendars of 2008.

No, you're misinterpreting their expressions, emptybox. Aisleyne is saying "But you've had two months extra to look at me, babes" and Chanelle, as a true daughter of Yorkshire, is relieved that you parted with your brass at full price!

A new month is always something of an event, what with 12 calendars to turn over

Ash looks good in May, I'm liking Michelle Bass too. Torchwood's showing Gwen Cooper this month but I'm not too keen on the human dalek

I know - I'm very sad

It's that time of year again when I start ordering Calendars. I remember hearing that Aisleyne wasn't doing a glamour calendar for 2009 but is she doing a non-glamour one? If so, I need to reserve space on my wall

There are no plans for a calendar for 2009.  Aisleyne has decided not to do anymore glamour shoots and the calendars are normally glamour shoots.
