| Understand that Aisleyne will not be able to make her radio show today. She's taking part in a Guinness Book of Records event - most hugs in an hour, or something to that effect!! |

| There was a rumour on DS:BB a couple of days ago about Ash going to Butlins Minehead to take part in a world kissing record
Kissing or hugging - Someone's going to get lucky |

| Watch that hand, Aisleyne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

|
| Its possible that perhaps we should consider the Radio Show will not take precedence over paid PA events. Also due to there being a new Big Brother underway, I imagine too that Ais would need to keep her profile raised as much as possible. I hope she does not receive too much backlash for having to put the Radio Show aside for various reasons, but I think it is better that she is 'out there' being seen..so good luck Aisleyne and have fun today! |

| I wish Aisleyne the best of luck for the world record attempt. However, I think her management should be more careful when it comes to things being scheduled at the same time as the radio show. She has a reputation for being unreliable because she has missed so many shows and if there comes a time when photoshoots and PAs dry up, it may not be a good thing. I hope people won't mind me saying this, and I know some people will disagree, but I think it's important to be honest. |

| It's part of a "themed week" event at Butlins, apparently:

| And if it's "how many hugs in one hour" the following link indicates that the current record is 844!

| Sophie - it's today! Believe Aisleyne's got to be looking to have around 850-900 hugs in one hour, if she's to beat the World Record. |

Is that based on my earlier post, or "other information"? |

However, it does seem a slightly risky venture with Aisleyne's hand in its present state. |

| Maybe they could invent a new category for Ash - "most hugs given in an hour by a person with a broken hand"? |
|
|
|
| It does sound a bit chancy.
I guess there should be a few hundred "happy campers" by the end of it though, lucky so-and-so's!
Will Ash have to wear a red coat? |

| Interesting record to attempt. I hope she manages it without hurting her hand during an enthusiastic squeeze.
(I hope she doesn't neglect the radio show, btw. I think it's helped her perform so well in tv as in her Sky News interview.) |

Ash has a bigger handicap than her hand tho - imagine : if you were getting a hug off Aisleyne you'd want it to go on as long as possible ! Good job I'm not there I'd ruin her record attempt .

| I wonder how much Butlins are paying Aisleyne for this gig, because however much it is, it ain't enough.
I know Aisleyne is a very huggy-type person, but it must have been an ordeal to be so up close and personal with so many members of the Great British Public, (including I fear a fair proportion of them from the "Great Unwashed" ) at the rate of about one hug every 4 seconds for an hour!
Anyway, I hope it went well.

| That's a bit far to walk Sophie. I know this event is great publicity for her, but I'm not to keen on the idea of all these non-Aisleyne fans getting their grubby mits on Aisleyne. She could hurt her hand again. |

| Do we know the outcome of this event yet? |

| It would be nice to know if Ash has entered the Guinness Book of Records, but of more concern to me is the state of her hand - how did the operation go to remove the pins?

Aisleyne managed to smash the last record of 614 hugs in an hour with a whopping 850 hugs and is now officially the most hugged person in the world (in an hour).

Location: Scottish Borders | That's an average of one hug every 4¼ seconds. Trouble is Aisleyne's at a natural disadvantage. Bet they needed a cattle prod to get some of these Minehead b*****s to let go. |

| What was the point of all this hugging? Was it a charity event? Is it going to be shown on TV? Is it going to feature in a magazine article? Or is just the sort of thing people in Minehead do in their spare time? And where's Minehead anyway? |
|
|
|
| I see what your saying there Rem. Today the fresh article in the Daily Star, shows that Ais is looking for a newer image where she can escape all the party girl image - Im wondering then if the Minehead thing was the beginning of a different source of publicity to break the glamour girl mould...? Just a thought.....

| The sea air at Minehead will do Aisleyne a power of good. I've never been there, but when I was very ickle, we were at Clevedon, just up the coast. Also, congratulations to Ash for holding a world record - not many of us can say that, can we?

Just a thought..... I think you could be right there ODM, although it would have had to have been for charity in that case. If not, it might be needed to show the contrast between Ash's new and old life. Before doing "Record Breakers" in Minehead (Somerset) - after . . . well who knows!!!!! |

| Aisleyne has posted a few words about this in the Hi Ash thread: "I done a PA in Somerset the other day, it was to try to beat the World record of how many hugs 1 person can give in 1 hour, the last record was 614....I beat it by hugging around 800 people....even with my bad arm!! " The full message is here: http://www.aisleyne.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=200&posts=375 |
