7th Urban Music Awards

01 November 2009

As in previous years, Aisleyne was a celebrity guest at the 7th Annual Urban Music Awards, held at the Bloomsbury Theatre on Sunday 1st November 2009.

This event is of course masterminded by Aisleyne's friend, entrepreneur Jordan Kensington, and celebrates the best in urban music across a broad range of genres from Hiphop to Gospel.

And once again Aisleyne was on stage to announce and present one of the awards. This year she presented the Best Newcomer Award to Egypt - (that's the artist of that name of course, not the country).

In between presentations, the audience was treated to a range of on-stage performances, and one eyewitness records that Aisleyne's front row seat enabled her to get on her feet to accompany the music with her usual enthusiasm.

Aisleyne tells us she also spent some time with "her boys" Heartless Crew.

Other celebrity presenters included comedian Rowland Rivron, "Bird of a Feather" Linda Robson, and politician/CBB housemate George Galloway. However, the guest Aisleyne was most excited to meet again was ex-boxer Frank Bruno, who she first met on that famous tour with Mike Tyson. Her autobiography recalls the somewhat surreal occasion when Big Frank asked Ash if he could borrow her eyeliner and lip-gloss. So far as we know, on THIS occasion Mr Bruno made no further calls on Aisleyne's make-up bag.
